World Bank and AIIB Conduct Supervision Mission on Uzbekistan Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a supervisory mission by donor organizations for the “Integrated Development of Medium-Sized Cities” project, with participation from the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

The mission involved bank specialists in investment, urban development, finance, and social programs.

During the meeting, a project presentation was delivered, results achieved in 2025 were summarized, and tasks completed in accordance with the established plan were reviewed.

Participants noted that the project met its goals this year: social and environmental objectives were successfully addressed, and construction and design activities are progressing on schedule, enhancing the project’s ranking among improved initiatives.

The meeting also discussed plans for 2026, including upcoming construction and design activities aimed at further developing medium-sized cities under the project framework.
