Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the next plenary session of the Senate, the work carried out within the framework of parliamentary control on projects identified to further improve the infrastructure of mahallas was discussed.
In the regions, senators conducted studies on issues related to internal roads related to infrastructure in mahallas, improving the supply of drinking water, providing electricity and gas, and repairing social facilities.
It was noted that in 2022-2023, as part of further improving the infrastructure of, it is planned to allocate over 7 trillion soums for construction and repair work at 6,007 facilities in 5,284 mahallas, of which 2.7 trillion soums are planned to be allocated this year.
The examination of the design and estimate documentation of most projects for 6,007 facilities for which construction and repair work is envisaged was carried out, and tender (competitive) bidding was announced to determine construction contractors.
During the discussion, the senators drew attention to the need to further strengthen the work carried out in the regions.
In particular, as part of the implementation of project programs for the development of mahalla infrastructure for 2022–2023, the heads of territorial working groups have been assigned the tasks of approving individual schedules in the context of mahallas, explaining in detail to the population the pressing problems and organizing campaigning work, systematically studying the state of ongoing work on improving the infrastructure of mahallas and solving existing problems.
Responsible departments are also instructed to conduct a thorough and in-depth study of projects together with local Kengashes of people’s deputies, accelerate the decision-making of khokims of regions on the allocation of land for the construction of facilities included in the programs for the provision of drinking water and the provision of sewerage services.
Information from the relevant responsible departments was heard on measures to effectively organize ongoing work to further improve the infrastructure of mahallas in 2022–2023, and prevent mistakes and shortcomings.
The corresponding resolution of the Senate was adopted on the considered issue.
