Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 April 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Anastasia Navikova, Director of Government Relations at Wizz Air Group.

The meeting was also attended by József Rózsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan.

Founded in 2003 in Budapest, Wizz Air offers affordable and convenient air travel for residents of Central and Eastern Europe. The company’s headquarters are located in Budapest, and its routes cover more than 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation with Wizz Air, including increasing the frequency of existing flights, launching new routes, utilizing regional airports, and ensuring the necessary infrastructure for air transportation.

As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, develop mechanisms for technical and institutional support, and take measures to accelerate the company's expansion into the Uzbek market.
