Ambassador Wilfredo Santos conveyed his credentials to the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry Abdulaziz Kamilov.

The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on beginning of his work in Uzbekistan and wished success, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The parties discussed the prospects of the Uzbek-Philippine relations, some international and regional problems.

The sides confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation both bilaterally and within the UN and other organizations.

Special attention was paid to development of trade and economic and investment ties, expansion of the legal framework for the implementation of the existing significant interaction potential.
