Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the International Youth Innovation Forum WIF-2020, which takes place as part of the Week of Innovative Ideas "InnoWeek.uz-2020", expert discussions, speeches of UNESCO representatives and a competition of technology projects are being held online
The event is intended to involve young people 18-35 years old with bold innovative ideas in the sustainable development goals approved by the UN countries in 2015. Within the framework of the Forum, a panel discussion took place, at which issues of international cooperation and support for youth in their interaction with the real sector of the economy were considered.
Also in the program of the Forum: speeches of experts on the prospects for the development of technologies for the coming decades; discussions on current trends in the field of unmanned technologies, cybersecurity, robotization, IT, biotechnology, high technologies of medicine, agriculture and artificial intelligence.
Forum participants get acquainted with modern trends in the technological field. Successful entrepreneurs share their practical experience with young inventors - how to go from a nascent idea to a profitable start-up business. Students will learn from mentors how to package their development and present it to investors.
On the first day of WIF-2020, an accelerator of innovative ideas WIF was presented, which will start operating on an ongoing basis as a platform for launching high-tech startups. On the basis of the accelerator, young innovators will be able to improve their projects and attract funding for them.
“Forum WIF-2020 is an effective mechanism for stimulating the high-tech sector and attracting young people to the innovation sector. In order for the forum participants to get the maximum amount of practical knowledge and new competencies, we have involved in the program the widest range of specialists - entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, universities and corporations, ”said WIF President Muhammad Mukhitdinov.
The forum is organized jointly with Innoweek-2020 (Uzbekistan). The general partners of the event were public and private organizations aimed at supporting youth projects - the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, the Eurasian Engineering Company, UNESCO (Almaty office), UCELL, the Association of Public Associations "National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia".
