Who is not recommended to get vaccine against COVID-19?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Could there be complications after vaccination? The Deputy Head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service Nurmat Atabekov answered these topical questions of the Press Service of the Ministry of Health.

“When carrying out vaccination, all recommendations of the organization that developed the vaccine will be observed,” N. Atabekov said. - It is not recommended to vaccinate people with HIV infection or autoimmune diseases, including those with a history of severe allergic reactions, pregnant women, nursing mothers and people under 18 years of age.

In any case, the decision on vaccination or medical recusal is made based on the results of a medical examination.

If there are cases that prevent vaccination, the doctor conducting the medical examination will definitely pay attention to this.

- Is it possible to vaccinate those who have been in close contact with people infected with coronavirus?

- People who have been in close contact with people infected with COVID-19 can be vaccinated after the end of quarantine (14 days) and a doctor's examination.

- What is being done to prevent post-vaccination complications?

- Persons vaccinated against COVID-19 will be monitored by health workers at vaccination sites within 30 minutes after vaccination, followed by regular interviews and home visits for three days.

All vaccination points are equipped with the necessary tools and first aid kits for first aid, and specialists are trained in the skills to provide medical assistance in the event of adverse reactions after vaccination. In the event of a severe allergic reaction associated with vaccination against COVID-19, an ambulance team will be called.

We remind you once again that a mandatory medical examination is required before each vaccination. This will help prevent unforeseen circumstances.
