Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the Statistics Agency, 79,667 new enterprises (excluding farms and dehkan farms) were established in the country from January to December 2024.

The highest number of these enterprises were registered in the trade sector, with 28,026 enterprises, accounting for over 35% of the total.

The following sectors saw the highest number of new enterprises:

• Industry – 12,938 enterprises;
• Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries – 9,117 enterprises;
• Accommodation and food services – 6,506 enterprises;
• Construction – 3,927 enterprises;
• Information technology and telecommunications – 2,931 enterprises;
• Transport and storage – 2,753 enterprises;
• Health care and social services – 1,523 enterprises;
• Other activities – 11,946 enterprises.

Thus, the highest entrepreneurial activity is observed in the trade sector, which may be linked to the high demand for this sector, relatively low barriers to market entry, and sustained demand for goods and services.
