The World Heritage Committee will hold a session in Istanbul, Turkey, on 10-20 July 2016 and consider 29 nominations to include in the UNESCO World Heritage.
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan submitted an application on inclusion of mountains of Western Tien Shan to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Tian Shan is a large system of mountain ranges located in Central Asia. Western Tian Shan is not very high compared to its central part, but unique and diverse. It is located in territories of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, and partially Tajikistan.
