Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- National central bureaus (NCB) of Interpol of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carried out joint events to arrest a 49-year old citizen of Uzbekistan.

Native of Andijan region was in international wanted list for committing grave and especially grave crimes, envisaged by Articles 155, 161, 242 and 244 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.

Based on the materials received, an approximate location of the wanted person was sent to the General Secretariat of Interpol.

In 2006, it was established that the defendant was hiding in the United States. At the end of September 2021, information was received that the man left the United States and headed to the city of Dubai (UAE).

A few days after arriving in Abu Dhabi, he was arrested by employees of the NCBs Interpol of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, the issue of his extradition to Uzbekistan is being considered.
