Volume of public procurement via electronic trades reaches 470.6bn soums in 2014

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Electronic auction trades on public procurement recorded 262,293 deals for 470.6 billion soums in 2014, according to the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry, the system registered 20,964 deals for 42.6 billion soums in December 2014.

Number of deals with participation of small businesses made up 260,848 deals for 467.5 billion soums.

Share of small businesses in supplied goods, services and works on public procurement via electronic trades made up 99.3% from total number of deals and 99.4% from total sum of deals.

The volume of saved resources in the result of electronic trades reached 117.4 billion soums or 20% from starting price of the deals in 2014 and 12.5 billion soums and 22.7% in December 2014.

As of 1 January 2015, number of accredited suppliers of services, works and goods at public procurement platform made up 32,181, of which 29,786 are small businesses (92.6%).

About 26.6% of purchased products at public procurement platform in 2014 were food products, 27.3% - goods and services, 15.1% - computer and electronics, 14.5% - other goods (services and works), 6.4% - furniture and office equipment.
