Volume of public procurement at electronic trades rich 417bn soums in 2013

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of public procurement, carried out at electronic trades, made up 417 billion soums in 2013, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on 17 January 2014.

He recalled that the electronic public procurement system was introduced in 2011 and it provided equal and competitive access to public procurement to business entities.

Uzbek leader said that the volume of public procurement, carried out at electronic trades, made up 417 billion soums in 2013, which helped to save 83 billion soums of budget resources.

President added that about 83 products and services, delivered within the public procurement, fell to share of small businesses.
