Volume of public procurement at electronic trades reaches 66.03bn soums in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 42,651 deals for 66.037 billion soums were recorded at electronic auction trades on public procurement in the first quarter of 2014, the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan said.

In March 2014, about 17,543 deals for 24.877 billion soums were recorded, the ministry said in a statement.

The volume of saved resources in the result of electronic auction trades in the first quarter was 17.98 billion soums or 21.4% and in March – 7.039 billion soums or 19.8%.

Number of deals with participation of small businesses reached 40.714 deals for 63.016 billion soums. Share of small businesses in supply of goods, works and services on public procurement via electronic auction trades made up 95.5% from total deals and 95.4% in total sum of trades.

As of 1 March 2014, number of accredited suppliers of services, works and goods on public procurement reached 10,528 units, of which 8,745 or 83.1% are small businesses.

The average cost of the deal made up 1.548 million in January-March 2014.

In the first three months, about 44.7% of products purchased by the budget organizations via electronic auction trades fell to share of food products, 20.3% - goods and materials, 12% - computer equipment, 11% - other goods, services and works, 6.7% - repair of vehicles.

Share of small businesses in supply of goods, works and services on public procurement via electronic auction trades made up 95.4%.
