Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In New York, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov took part in an informal ministerial meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), organized at the initiative of the Kazakh side at fields of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

The event was attended by representatives of 26 states, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Bahrain, Jordan, India, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey and others.

The issues of preparation for the sixth CICA Summit in Astana on 12-13 October 2022, as well as the coordination of final documents were discussed.

The Uzbek side brought concrete proposals and initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for implementation within the framework of the CICA to the participants of the event.
