Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 November 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov.
The meeting began with the ceremony of presenting copies of credentials by the Ambassador to the Minister, who congratulated him on taking office and wished him success in his professional activities.
During the conversation, issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.
The course of implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level was considered. An exchange of views took place on preparations for the planned visits and joint events, as well as the participation of the Kazakh delegation in the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union, the conference on connectivity "EU - Central Asia" in Samarkand.
The dynamic growth of mutual trade was noted with satisfaction. It was reported that the parties were ready to take joint measures to further increase trade, implement investment projects in the fields of industry, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, etc.
The importance of encouraging and strengthening contacts between the regions of the two countries was noted.
An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The commitment of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to the activation of cultural and humanitarian ties was emphasized. In this context, issues of preparation for the "Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan" in November of this year were discussed.
