Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 8 August 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to our country (with residence in Singapore) Zulkifli bin Baharudin.
The diplomat gave a positive assessment of the course of reforms in Uzbekistan and the progress achieved by our country in all spheres of the life of the state and society.
During the conversation, topical aspects of Uzbek-Singapore relations in various fields were discussed.
Attention was focused on the need for a comprehensive implementation of the potential of bilateral cooperation, including through the intensification of contacts through the organization of mutual visits, holding inter-MFA consultations, expanding the legal framework, as well as coordinating efforts within international organizations.
An exchange of views took place on the schedule of planned events at various levels and formats.
In order to stimulate economic diplomacy, the parties noted the importance of establishing direct contacts between business circles, organizing business forums, exchanging experience on the development of e-commerce, the "green economy", implementing projects in the fields of education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, etc.
Following the meeting, which was held in a friendly and trusting atmosphere, an agreement was reached to continue joint efforts to build ties in all areas for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
