Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 17 June 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan Aurelia Bouchez. 

Various aspects of the Uzbek-French agenda were discussed at the meeting. 

Particular attention was paid to the interaction of the parties within the framework of multilateral structures, taking into account the presidency of Paris in the Council of the European Union. 

The French side highly appreciated the large-scale transformations carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of the life of the state and society.

Proposals on the schedule of planned contacts at various levels and formats were considered.

As noted, the forthcoming visit of the Association of business circles of France "Medef International" is designed to intensify trade and economic relations and substantively discuss the implementation of promising investment projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of French capital.

Mutual interest was expressed in expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, taking into account the planned exhibitions “The Splendor of Central Asia. On the caravan routes of Uzbekistan" at the Louvre Museum and "Caftans and Chapans" at the Institute of the Arab World in Paris in November 2022.

An exchange of views also took place on certain topics of international and regional character.
