Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 October 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received a delegation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) headed by its Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev, who arrived in our country on a working visit.

The meeting discussed the current state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OTS.

The parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics in the development of relations between Uzbekistan and the Organization in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

An exchange of views took place on the results of important events held in our country, such as the 4th meeting of ministers responsible for ICT (on 25-26 October 2022, in Samarkand) and the meeting of the OTS Ministers of Transport (on 27-28 October 2022, on Tashkent).

The schedule of upcoming meetings in Uzbekistan held jointly with the OTS was considered, including the meeting of the Ministers of Economy (on 9 November 2022, in Samarkand) and the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (on 19 November 2022, in Samarkand).

Particular attention was paid to issues related to the preparation and holding of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held on 11 November this year in Samarkand.

Certain topics on the international and regional agenda were also discussed at the talks.
