Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 August 2022, a meeting was held for acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov with a delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea headed by Chairman of the Korea-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship Association Park Kwangon.
During the meeting, it was noted that the visit of South Korean parliamentarians to Uzbekistan is another evidence of the expansion and strengthening of bilateral relations of friendship and a special strategic partnership based on the principles of openness, mutual respect and consideration of each other’s interests.
Park Kwangon expressed the strong support of the Republic of Korea for the process of large-scale changes in New Uzbekistan, including the measures taken to reform the country’s Basic Law.
It was announced that the National Assembly was ready to contribute to the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea in December 2021. in priority areas.
An exchange of views took place on the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels, including in the “Central Asia + Republic of Korea” format.
Special attention was paid to building up cooperation in the areas of digitalization and e-government, actively promoting economic diplomacy through the implementation of joint investment projects. Park Kwangon noted that Uzbekistan remains an attractive country for the Republic of Korea in terms of investing, creating joint ventures and doing business.
