Vladimir Norov meets with the Prime Minister of Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 23 December 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida.

The delegation of Uzbekistan is paying visit to Tokyo in order to take part as in the 9th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan". Japanse Prime Minister also met with the heads of delegations of other states of Central Asia.

The participants of the event exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation between the countries of our region and Japan.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in his speech conveyed to the Prime Minister of Japan the greetings and best wishes of the President of Uzbekistan.

Vladimir Norov noted that the development of long-term cooperation with Japan is among the foreign policy and foreign economic priorities of Uzbekistan. Over 30 years of diplomatic relations between our countries, a high level of trust and a truly strategic partnership have been established.

The contribution of the Government of Japan in improving the environmental situation and the life of the population in the Aral Sea region was especially noted.

The Prime Minister of Japan highly appreciated the profound transformations being carried out in Uzbekistan in all spheres of society.
