Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September 2022, on the sidelines of the first Strategic Dialogue in the format of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf - Central Asia in Riyadh, Uzbek Acting Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The parties positively assessed the high level of political dialogue between the two countries. The sides expressed commitment to further intensify trade, economic and investment cooperation.

An agreement was reached to continue the positive practice of interaction on international and regional issues, including the Afghan problem.

Issues of holding the upcoming Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Samarkand on 15-16 September 2022 were discussed.

A schedule of events at the highest and high levels has been agreed upon.
