Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 March 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Chairman of the Council of Elders (aksakals) of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey Binali Yildirim, who arrived in our country on a working visit.

At the beginning of the conversation, Vladimir Norov congratulated Binali Yildirim on his appointment and wished him success in his high and responsible position, noted the fruitful results of the meeting of the Council of Elders of the OTS, held on 9-11 February in Istanbul.

At the meeting, topical issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and the OTS were discussed, a schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels was considered. 

In this context, an exchange of views took place on the further development of the activities of the Council.
