Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov, who is in Tokyo on a visit, held a meeting with representatives of Japanese business circles.

The event was attended by heads of leading Japanese companies participating in the implementation of joint projects or planning to enter the Uzbek market, such as Mitsubishi Power Ltd., Balcom Group, Mikado Development and Invest, Noritsuisu Co. LTD, Haneda Turtle Service, Nippon Investment Operating Corporation, Well Solu Co. Ltd" and "Japan Ecotex Co. ltd.

It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years, the interest of Japanese business in enhancing cooperation in Uzbekistan has significantly increased.

Over the past 5 years, the number of enterprises with the participation of Japanese capital has increased seven times.

There has been a trend of growth in trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The progress of the implementation of projects with the participation of the above companies, promising areas for expanding their activities in Uzbekistan, as well as proposals for the active promotion of economic diplomacy were discussed.

Japanese businessmen expressed their gratitude for the favorable conditions created by Uzbekistan for doing business.
