Violations in Public Procurement Totaling 11.2 Billion Soums Identified — Measures Taken

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Territorial bodies of the Competition Committee have identified violations in public procurement amounting to over 11.2 billion soums.

Inspections covered several regions, including Bukhara, Ferghana, Jizzakh, and Navoiy.

For example, in Fergana Region, six violations were recorded in the healthcare management sector totaling around 8 billion soums; in Bukhara, one violation exceeded 500 million soums; in Jizzakh, multiple cases amounted to over 900 million soums; and in Navoiy, eight violations totaled approximately 1.8 billion soums.

The actions detected were classified as restricting or potentially restricting competition in accordance with Article 29 of the Law on Competition.

Measures have been taken against the violators, and recommendations were provided to procurement authorities to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Oversight of public procurement is aimed at ensuring transparent use of funds and creating equal conditions for entrepreneurs.
