Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The trial in the criminal case concerning the assassination attempt on Komil Allamjonov has concluded today in the Military Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the sentencing of 10 defendants.

According to the court’s verdict, Shukhrat Rasulov was sentenced to 23 years in prison, Javlon Yunusov to 18 years and 6 months, Shokhrukh Akhmedov to 23 years, Ismoil Jakhongirov to 23 years, and Doniyor Tashkhodjaev to 7 years of imprisonment.

The remaining five defendants received various prison terms based on the severity of their crimes.

It is worth noting that Doniyor Tashkhodjaev previously served as the First Deputy Head of the Tashkent Main Internal Affairs Directorate.

To recall, in the early hours of 26 October 2024, unidentified individuals opened fire on a Range Rover near a railway crossing in Kibrai district. The vehicle was carrying Komil Allamjonov, a former official of the Presidential Administration. The attackers fled the scene after the assault. None of the passengers, including the driver, were injured.
