Vehicle Seized in Andijan Region with 5,000 Potent Medications
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Law enforcement authorities in Andijan Region have intercepted the illegal trafficking of potent medications smuggled from Kyrgyzstan, the State Security Service (SSG) press office reported.
During an inspection, a Changan SL03 vehicle was found to contain 5,071 units of the drug “Regapen.” All seized medications have been handed over to authorities in accordance with procedural regulations.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 5 of Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which covers the production, distribution, advertising, or demonstration of products promoting potent substances that are not classified as narcotics, their analogues, or psychotropic substances, as well as their illegal circulation.
Two Uzbek citizens have been detained as suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
