Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Public Charitable Foundation "Vakf" in the second week of the month of Ramadan donated funds in the amount of more than 1 billion soums. Saidabror Umarov, head of the information service of the Vakf Public Charitable Foundation, said.

Within the framework of the Ramazon tuhfasi project, about four thousand households throughout the Republic were delivered food for a total of 707.89 million soums.

About 295 citizens in need of material assistance were provided with funds in the amount of 293.65 million soums.

Two mosques in Ferghana region, in which construction and repair work is being carried out and 20 million soums were directed to these projects.

In total, 1.02 billion soums were allocated for donations.
