Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From today, the vaccination of the population with the second and third doses of the ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine has been re-established.
As already reported, the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health has ordered from August 9 to use the reserves of the ZF-UZ-VAC-2001 vaccine for the first dose only.
Vaccinations with the second and third doses were ordered to be suspended for a week “until further notice.
The Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Service notes that Uzbekistan has received vaccines from various manufacturers and it is required to carry out calculations and enter data into the system, as well as to streamline the list of persons who should receive the second and third doses.
As of 8 August, more than 10 million doses of vaccines have been used in Uzbekistan. At the same time, 6.3 million people were vaccinated with the first dose, and 2.31 million people with the second. 887.92 thousand people were fully vaccinated.
