Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The textile and clothing industry of Uzbekistan remains one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the domestic economy. It is the driving force behind the development of related industries, leading in the implementation of international technologies, quality standards, and export volumes.
Every year more and more global companies and brands for tailoring ready-made clothes prefer products under the sign "MADE IN UZBEKISTAN". Uzbek companies are actively increasing the pace of exports. So, in 2021, 1,250 companies were already carrying out export activities, more than US$3 billion worth of products were exported.
The country began to actively increase exports to the EU countries, having received the status of a beneficiary of the GSP + preference program in 2021, as well as receiving a number of benefits for the export of textile products to the UK and other European markets. The Cotton Campaign has recently lifted the boycott on the purchase of products made from Uzbek cotton and the country’s textile workers have an exclusive chance to occupy a significant niche in the markets of Europe and the USA.
The main and most anticipated exhibition event, which allows to demonstrate all the strengths of the Uzbek textile and garment workers, the next 4th International Exhibition of the Textile and Fashion Industry "UzTextile Expo Spring’22" will be held in Tashkent on 27-29 April 2022 in the Ankhor Park, its participants will be able to meet in person and discuss further prospects for cooperation with partners from Central Asia.
The exhibition is a unique industry review of the achievements of the Uzbek textile and clothing and knitwear industry, demonstrating advanced developments and technologies, current trends in the production of clothing and textile products. The international level event will once again introduce the achievements and innovations of the Central Asian and world leaders in the textile industry along the entire technological chain - from yarn to ready-made clothing and accessories.
A wide range of Uzbek cotton products will be presented: yarn, fabrics, knitted fabrics, non-woven materials, carpets, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, home textiles and much more. To fully satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers, 90 manufacturers of Uzbekistan will take part in the exhibition, ranging from flagships and cotton-textile clusters to small businesses. The share of domestic enterprises among the exhibitors is 75%. Most of the participants are representatives of regional enterprises that have become city-forming in their areas. 40% of the total number of national exhibitors are debutants of the exhibition, demonstrating their products for the first time at this exhibition.
Participation of the National Pavilions of manufacturers from Turkey and the Republic of Belarus, collective stands of enterprises from India, Tajikistan and other countries is planned for the exhibition.
The National Stand of Turkey includes seven leading manufacturers of fabrics, textile accessories, yarn, chemicals and dyes for the textile industry. These are Karinca Tekstil, Dinc Tekstil, Ozaslan Tekstil, Damteks, MYD, Berazol, Arm Kimya.
The Republic of Belarus is represented at the exhibition by the Concern "Bellegprom" and three companies - manufacturers of products unique to the market of Uzbekistan - "Orsha Flax Mill" (linen fabrics, linen home textiles), "Mogotex" (blended fabrics, technical and home textiles), "Kamvol" (woolen and semi-woolen fabrics and products). Also at the exhibition will be presented five enterprises of the chemical and petrochemical industry of the Republic of Belarus, which will present artificial and chemical fibers for the production of textiles, technical textiles for construction, polymer products, chemicals and fertilizers for agriculture, fiberglass and much more.
It is not for nothing that the UzTextile Expo exhibition has the status of Central Asian. Four leading companies from Tajikistan: Gulistoni Dushanbe, Ortex, Rakhimov A., Zhongtai Dangara Sin Sulu will present clothing and other textile products.
Also, four enterprises from India: JB Ecotex, Saanika Industries, Shree Polyester, Vineet Polyfab will present artificial and chemical fibers.
In total, more than 120 companies and brands from 9 countries will take part in the exhibition, including Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, the Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
As part of the business program of the exhibition, on 26 April, the International Textile Conference of Uzbekistan - Uzbekistan Textile Conference is held at the Hilton Hotel. The conference brings together representatives of the textile and fashion industries on a single platform to discuss new trends and challenges.
Heads of international organizations in the field of textiles and fashion, national textile associations, heads of large retail companies and international clothing brands, editors-in-chief of specialized media, domestic companies, investors are invited to the conference.
