Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2022, within the framework of all programs, 7,130.1 km of water pipes and 232.9 km of sewer networks, 859 water bodies and sewer facilities were built and reconstructed.
In addition, 82.8 km of the water supply network was laid at the expense of regional water supply enterprises, 7 wells were drilled, and 121 new pumps were installed. At the expense of funds in the amount of 44.9 billion soums, current and major repairs of 1.8 thousand km of the water supply network, almost 2 thousand pumps were carried out.
Analyzing in the context of programs, it can be noted that within the framework of the Investment Program in 2022, in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 22 January 2022, 1.7 trillion soums were disbursed, 1,936 km of water supply and sewerage networks were laid, construction work and reconstruction were completed at 119 facilities. .
In 2022, US$185.5 million were disbursed from the funds of international financial institutions, 243 km of water supply and 83.8 km of sewer networks were laid, construction work was carried out at 121 facilities, 1 water treatment facility, 14 water distribution facilities, 1 water tower were built in the reporting period , 13 wells, 18 water tanks, 3 sewage treatment plants and 2 sewage pumping stations.
For example, at the expense of the Asian Development Bank, the water treatment plant "Kodiria" was launched in Tashkent region, with a capacity of 100 thousand cubic meters per day, a sewage treatment plant in the city of Jizzakh, with a capacity of 30 thousand cubic meters per day, at the expense of the World Bank - a sewage treatment plant in the city of Bukhara, with a capacity of 100 thousand cubic meters per day.
As a result of the work done under all programs in 2022, the level of centralized drinking water supply of citizens was increased from 69.7 percent to 74.4 percent.
Coverage of the population with sewerage services - from 17.2 to 18.9 percent.
The consumer base from 4 million 150 thousand reached 4 million 400 thousand, that is, it increased by 242 thousand consumers. The number of consumers with installed water meters increased from 2 million 420 thousand to 2 million 830 thousand, the level of provision of consumers with water meters reached 64.3 percent.
In the reporting period, special attention was also paid to the introduction of energy-saving technologies at drinking water supply and sanitation facilities, solar panels with a total capacity of 90.5 kW were installed in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In order to install 39 solar photoelectric power stations and solar panels in Syrdarya region, an agreement was signed in the amount of 220.46 million soums. Tenders have been announced for the installation of 4 solar panels in the Samarkand region, 3 solar panels in Surkhandarya region and 2 solar panels in Jizzakh region.
