Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 September, a press tour was organized for media representatives to familiarize themselves with the progress of construction and reconstruction of facilities and drinking water supply systems carried out in the Tashkent region, organized by Uzsuvtaminot JSC.
KADYRYA WATER STRUCTURE
Within the framework of the first stage of the three-stage project "Modernization of the drinking water system in Kibray, Tashkent and Zangiata districts of Tashkent region" with a total cost of US$143.4 million with the participation of the Asian Development Bank, the construction of water pipelines with a length of 424.3 km from the Kadyri water structure ( total capacity - 100 thousand m3 per day) to the water structure VU-3, as well as 18 water distribution structures are constructed.
To date, the work on laying central water pipelines has been completed by 17 percent. As a result of the planned work, meters will be installed in more than 49 256 households, over 265 thousand people will have access to drinking water supply.
Within the framework of this project, at the expense of US$454.4 million, it is planned to build a total of 960.0 km of drinking water supply networks and 352.5 km of sewerage networks. As a result, over 523 thousand people will have access to centralized drinking water supply, and 620 thousand people will be provided with sewerage services.
CHIRCHIK OPEN BY WATER
1st water-lifting station: Total area - 4.03 hectares.
The facility operates 5 WILLO pumps and 1 pump D 2500/65.
Here, 5 pumps of model WILLO SCPE 300-350-CME-CW-250/4 and one pump of model D 2500/65 are used to supply water to the wastewater treatment plant.
2nd water-lifting station:
Design capacity - 50,000 m3
The total area is 19.21 hectares.
The facility has 3 pumping units GTSB 400-300-500A and one pump D 2500/65.
The level of provision of the population of the city of Chirchik is 99.7 percent, while 70 percent is provided at the expense of the 2nd water-lifting station.
As part of the press tour, a briefing was held with the participation of Ilkhom Talipov, director of Toshkent Suv Taminoti LLC.
On the territory of water facilities, journalists were able to observe the construction of a complex of facilities for the use of flushing water, which is planned to be commissioned by the end of the year. It will allow not to dump water into the river, with which the filters of treatment facilities are periodically washed, but to purify and use it again.
