In the reporting period, some 319 deals were recorded at the exchange. In the result, 75.53 million shares of 49 joint stock companies and 35,000 corporate bonds were realized.
The largest deal was recorded on 24 February in corporate bonds platform. Corporate bonds of National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity were sold for 25.6 billion soums.
Share of secondary market in total turnover made up 61.5 billion soums (85.1% of total turnover) and at the same time 35.7 billion soums (58%) fell to share of deals with corporate bonds.
IPO market accounted deals for 10.8 billion soums or 14.9% of total turnover of UzSE in the reporting period. At the same time, 4 billion soums fell to turnover with shares of privatized enterprises.
In industrial structure, majority of deals were recorded with shares of enterprises, rendering financial services. It is worth to note that financial sector dominates at UzSE for last five years.
In the first quarter of 2011, the share of financial sector made up 78.1% in total turnover or 56.6 billion soums, while 76.1% of them or 55 billion soums fell to share of securities of commercial banks.
Shares of industrial enterprises also attract investors as deals for 8 billion soums or 11.1% in total turnover fell to share to this segment of the economy.
Analysis of turnover of listed companies in the first quarter of 2011 showed that securities of 21 companies out of 94 listed ones participated in trades. Some 178 deals for 23.6 billion soums or 32.6% of total turnover were recorded with securities of listed companies,
At the same time, the turnover with shares of listed companies grew almost 13.6 times in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the same period of 2010 (1.7 billion soums).
Large number of turnover with shares of listed companies fell to share of secondary market – 16.8 billion soums or 71.3%.
Turnover of IPO market with shares of listed companies made up 6.8 billion soums. At the same time, all deals were recorded with securities of commercial banks.
Besides, shares of the bank dominate in structure of turnover of listed companies, where their share account 63.7% (15 billion soums).
Investors are also expressing interest to listed companies, working in industrial sector – 32.1% (7.6 billion soums) of turnover. Major part of the sum fell to deal with shares of Uzkabel. Some 86,000 shares of the company were realized for 7.4 billion soums.
It is worth to note that 98% of turnover with listed companies were conducted by legal entities in the reporting period. At the time, individuals accounted 63.5% of deals, conducted with shares of listed companies.
