UZSE turnover makes up 3.3bn soums in July

Trade turnover of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UZSE) made up 3.3 billion soums, which fell almost four times compared to July 2011 (13 billion soums). The exchange said that this is the smallest volume in last six years.
Overall, the UZSE recorded 43 deals with 6.9 million securities of 16 issuers in July, the exchange said.
According to UZSE, the deals for 0.04 billion soums (1.2% of trade turnover) were registered at additional emission shares’ placement platform and 3.25 billion soums (98.8%) – secondary securities turnover platform.
The average volume of deals in July was 76.6 million soums. The size of average daily deals with the securities mad up 193.8 million soums.
The largest deal was recorded on 27 July at the secondary market with shares of Bukharagips JSC. Some 1.7 million shares of Bukharagipss were traded for 1.7 billion soums.
In the reporting period, securities of the enterprises on production of construction materials were highly demanded in the market. Share of the industry made up 54.7% or 1.8 billion soums.
Shares of commercial banks (34.5% of total turnover or 1.1 billion soums) and agro-industrial complex (7.2% or 0.2 billion soums) were also highly demanded in July.
