UZSE turnover makes up 1.7bn soums in January

Turnover of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UZSE) made up 1.7 billion soums in January 2013, or decreased almost twice compared to January 2012 (3.3 billion soums).
The exchange said that 90 deals with 41.1 million securieties of 17 issues have been registered at the secondary market of the UZSE.
According to UZSE, deals for 0.18 billion soums were recorded with securities of listed enterprises and 1.51 billion soums – with shares of unlisted companies.
The average size of the exchange deals made up 18.8 million soums in January 2013 compared to 113.7 million soums in January 2012.
The size of average daily volume of the deals with securities made up 106 million soums in January 2013 compared to 253.7 million soums in January 2012.
Largest deal of the month was recorded on 28 January 2013 at the secondary market with shares of Koson yog`-ekstraktsiya. Within the deal, some 250,300 shares of the company were sold for 688.3 million soums.
In the reporting period, securities of agro-industrial complex were highly demanded. Their share in total turnover was 926.4 million soums or 54.6%. Share of banks made up 9.6% and leasing companies – 1.8%.
