UZSE turnover makes up 119.7bn soums in 1H
In the reporting period, the exchange recorded deals 106.7 million shares of 80 companies.
About 54.7% of total deals or 65.5 billion soums fell to share of the secondary market, of which 20.4 billion soums (17%) – state-owned assets.
The share of the volume of initial placement of securities reached 45.3% or 54.2 billion soums. The growth compared to the first half of 2015 (15.4 billion soums), made up 3.5 times.
The exchange noted that about 61.5% of total deals or 73.7 billion soums were conducted with securities of financial institutions. At the same time about 61% of total deals or 73 billion soums fell to share of banks, 0.5% or 0.7 billion soums – insurance companies.
A turnover in securities in terms of major sectors of the economy in the reporting period was as follows:
In the first half of 2016, the share of the financial sector made up 95.8%, or 76.6 billion soums,
Share of agriculture in total turnover made up 5.3% or 63.8 billion soums, industrial sector – 6.8% or 8.1 billion soums and enterprises of the construction industry – 1.4% or 1.7 billion soums.
