UZSE turnover makes 78.5bn soums in Jan-May
In five months of 2015, the exchange recorded 1,179 deals with the securities, which is the record figure for last five years. Over 135.9 million securities of 49 issues were traded in the reporting period.
About 82% of exchange turnover or 64.3 billion soums fell to share of the secondary market, including 0.4 billion soums – with corporate bobds. The secondary market’s turnover rose four times compared to the same period of 2014 (16.2 billion soums).
The share of the IPO market made up 18% or 14.2 billion soums, the exchange said.
About 94.7% of exchange turnover or 74.4 billion soums fell to share of banking sector. At the same time, 58% of turnover or 43.1 billion soums were carried out with shares of Ipoteka Bank.
UZSE said that about 367 deals were recorded in May, which rose four times compared to May 2014. About 6.9 million securities of 20 issuers were traded in May.
The volume of trades at UZEX in May was 6.8 billion soums, which fell by 37% compared to May 2014 (10.8 billion soums).
About 53.3% of deals were conducted at IPO market and 47.7% - at the secondary market in May, the exchange said.
The average size of the deals in May was equal to 18.5 million soums (125.3 million soums in May 2014).
The average daily size of the deals with the securities made up 322.9 million soums in May 2015 against 567.1 million soums in May 2014. Average price of one trade security was 990 soums in May 2015 compared to 975.7 soums in May 2014.
About 98.5% of deals in May or 6.7 billion soums were conducted with the securities of commercial banks, the exchange noted.
