UZSE turnover hits 80bn soums in 1H
The exchange said that 1,258 deals were registered in the first half of 2015, which is the record figure in last five years. The figure is three times higher compared the same period of 2014 and 1.3 times higher compared to full 2014. About 138.6 million securities of 50 issuers were traded at the exchange in January-June 2015.
The share of the secondary market in the reporting period was 81% from total turnover or 64.6 billion soums, including 0.4 billion soums fell to share of corporate bonds. The volume of secondary market rose four times in the first half of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014 (17.3 billion soums).
IPO market accounted 19.2% of total deals or 15.4 billion soums in the reporting period, the press service of the UZSE said.
About 94.8% deals were conducted with the securies of the bank sector, which makes up 75.8 billion soums. At the same time, the exchange registered deals for 43.1 billion soums with the shares of Ipoteka Bank (57% of deals with securities of commercial bank and 54% from total turnover of the UZSE).
