UZSE turnover hits 213.1bn soums in 2011

According to the exchange, it recorded 1,134 deals with 224.7 million shares of 112 issuers and 69,000 corporate bonds of three issuers in 2011.

Turnover of the secondary market increased by 2.5 times year-on-year and reached 112.9 billion soums. Its share in total UZSE turnover was 53%.

At the same time, turnover of the IPO market made up 100.2 billion soums in 2011, which made up 47% of total UZSE turnover.

The exchange said that about 65.4% of the secondary market turnover fell to share of commercial banks and 19.4% - industrial enterprises.

In total turnover of UZSE, share of banks in 2011 made up 64.4% and industrial enterprises – 21.6%, the exchange noted.

At the same time, share of Asaka Bank in total turnover made up 18.9%, National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity – 16.7% and Uzavtosanoat -11.3%.

The volume of REPO deals at UZSE reached 5.8 billion soums, which made up 2.8% of total turnover of the exchange in 2011.
