UZSE turnover exceeds 48.3bn soums in Jan-Aug

The exchange recorded 674 deals on sales of 80.6 million shares of 93 joint stock companies for 42.5 billion soums and 5,700 bonds of five issuers worth 5.8 billion soums.

The share of IPO market in total turnover made up 53.2% or 25.7 billion soums, which fell three times year-on-year (76.8 billion soums).

The share of the secondary market reached 46.8% or 22.6 billion soums, which decreased by 1.1 times year-on-year (24.5 billion soums).

The analyses of the deals showed that 86.1% of deals or 41.2 billion soums fell to share of enterprises of financial sector, 74.9% of turnover or 36.2 billion soums – share of banks, 3.5% or 1.7 billion soums – insurance companies and 7.6% or 3.7 billion soums - leasing companies.

Share of industrial sector made up 0.4% of total turnover or 0.2 billion soums, agro-industrial complex – 6.5% or 3.1 billion soums and construction industry enterprises – 1.3% or 0.6 billion soums.
