UZSE records turnover for 38.7bn soums in July

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of trade turnover at Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) made up 38.7 billion soums in July 2016, growing seven times compared to July 2015 (5.2 billion soums).

Overall, 82 deals with 49.9 million shares of 29 issuers were recorded at the exchange in the reporting period.

About 86.1% of deals (33.3 billion soums) fell to share of the secondary market. Share of IPO market was 13.9% or 5.4 billion soums.

Largest deal of the month was registered at hard currency platform. About 847,300 shares of Toshkent yo’lovchi vagonlarini qurish va ta’mirlash zavodi were sold for US$4.6 million (13.6 billion soums at CBU rate).

The exchange noted that 45.8% deals were conducted with the shares of transport companies, 34.6% - commercial banks and 14% - industrial enterprises.
