UZSE records deals for 57.8bn soums in Jan-Apr

The exchange said it registered 345 deals with over 54.7 million shares of 74 joint stock companies.

About 72.5% of total turnover were recorded in the IPO market. The volume of deals made up 41.9 billion soums. IPO market’s share grew four times compared to the same period of 2011.

Largest volume of deals with securities fell to share of financial sector. The sector accounted 87.7% of deals from total exchange turnover or 50.7 billion soums. About 80.6% of total turnover or 46.6 billion soums fell to share of banks, 2.2% or 1.3 billion soums – insurance companies and 2.8 billion soums or 4.9% to leasing companies.

Share of industry sector made up 3.7% or 2.1 billion soums, agro-industrial complex – 2.4% or 1.4 billion soums and construction industry – 1% or 0.6 billion soums
