UZSE records deals for 53.5bn soums in December

Trade turnover of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UZSE) made up 53.5 billion soums in December 2012. The figure made up 47.7 billion in December 2011.
In December 2012, the exchange recorded 82 deals with 41.1 million securities of 30 issuers, the UZSE said.
UZSE said that deals for 3 billion soums (5.7% of total turnover) were carried out at additional shares placement platform, 14.9 billion soums (27.8%) - at stocks circulation platform, as well as 35.6 billion soums (67.5%) in corporate bonds platform.
Average size of the deals in December made up 651.9 million soums (32.5 million soums in November).
The size of daily average deals with securities reached 2.7 billion soums (111.3 million soums in November).
The largest deal in December was recorded on 25 December 2012 with corporate bonds of Uzavtosanoat (Uzbek Car Industry) at the secondary corporate bonds market. Some 35,000 bonds were sold within the deal for 35.6 billion soums.
