UzSE records deals for 454.76m soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbek Stock Exchange (UzSE) carried out 95 deals with 394,000 shares of 15 public companies for 454.76 million soums on 7-11 September 2009. The deals were registered in the secondary market’s national currency platform.
The average size of deal in the reporting period made up 4.4 million soums against 414 million soums in previous week. The highest ratio of price to par value was observed in consumer goods production sector (4.2).
The highest volume of turnover was observed in consumer goods production sector, which attained 35.8% of total turnover in the reporting period. During the reporting period, the deals were carried out with shares of enterprises in 5 regions of Uzbekistan.
Total turnover of the UzSE comprised 64.5 billion soums in 2009. Overall 5,637 deals with 154.795 million shares were recorded in 2009.
IPO market turnover comprised 12.6 billion soums (19.6% of total turnover) and the secondary market - 51.8 billion soums (80.4%).
Shares of enterprises in Tashkent city were popular among investors as 76.2% of all carried out deals or 49.09 billion soums fell to their share. Tashkent region and Kashkadarya region followed Tashkent city.
