UZSE records deals for 43.5 bn soums in March

In the reporting period, the exchange registered 126 deals with 30.4 million shares of 32 issuers.

The IPO market recorded deals for 35.7 billion soums, which made up 82.1% of total turnover in March 2012. Share of the secondary market made up 17.9% or 7.8 billion soums.

Average size of the exchange deals in March was 345.3 million soums and the size of daily volume of the deal in the securities market – 2.3 billion soums.

Largest deal was recored on 25 March in IPO market with shares of Agrobank. Within the deal, 17.4 million shares of the bank were traded for 20.2 billion soums.

The exchange said that shares of the commercial banks were the most demanded in the market. About 84.1% total turnover or 36.6 billion soums of total turnover fell to their share.

Investors also purchased shares of leasing companies (6.4% of total turnover or 2.8 billion soums) and industrial sector’s enterprises (4.6% or 2 billion soums).
