Uzmetkombinat Reports 16% Decline in Net Profit for First Nine Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — For the first nine months of 2025, Uzmetkombinat JSC posted a net profit of 188.8 billion soums, down 15.9% compared to the same period in 2024.

However, in the third quarter, the company demonstrated a significant profit increase, reaching 167.7 billion soums compared to 21.1 billion soums in the first half of the year.

Administrative expenses fell by 27.3%, totaling 176.7 billion soums, while interest expenses rose from 226.6 billion to 309.5 billion soums. Losses from foreign exchange differences increased from 279.5 billion to 476.0 billion soums, whereas income from such differences grew from 173.6 billion to 389.5 billion soums.

The company’s long-term loans rose 23.5% year-on-year, from 3.1 trillion to 3.9 trillion soums, while short-term loans and borrowings declined from 2.3 trillion to 2.2 trillion soums.

Uzmetkombinat’s total assets reached 13.2 trillion soums, up 2.4% year-on-year, and the company’s equity grew 2.3% to 6.0 trillion soums. Retained earnings amounted to 1.5 trillion soums, 24.7% higher than last year.

Net revenue for the nine months totaled 4.7 trillion soums, down 18.7% compared to the same period in 2024.
