UzLiDeP: Women’s participation in society

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, we cannot imagine life without women, there is barely any sphere, be it economic, political, social, cultural, where the woman of Uzbekistan has failed to demonstrate her professional and creative abilities. Since the first years of independence government pays special attention to enhance the role and status of women in society, provision for their rights and interests, creation of all the essential conditions and environment conducive for boosting their sociopolitical and socioeconomic activity, intellectual and spiritual potential.

All of this was discussed at the “round table” on the topic “Women’s happiness is the happiness of society”, which was organized by the Executive Committee of Political Council of UzLiDeP on 5 November, 2015 in Almazar district.

It was stressed at the event that UzLiDeP considers increasing role of women in modernizing and updating of the society, social and legal protection of women, improve their physical, spiritual and intellectual potential as one of its priority tasks. This is evidenced by the fact that the percentage of women managers has increased by 1.6 times, they manage 40 % of small businesses, in addition, this is 35 % of entrepreneurs are women in our country.

In order to improve the socio-political activity of women, party conducts training seminars, forums and discussions in all regions of the country.
