UzLiDep project stimulates new proprietors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Developing and supporting small and private businesses, increasing number of entrepreneurs are one of important issues, to which Uzbekistan pays a great attention. The country improves legislation to create favourable conditions for businesses.

UzLiDeP implements a project “A family of proprietors” to promote development of family businesses in places, develop proposals and recommendations to solve existing problems in places.

Surkhandarya region hosted the regional stage of educational seminar, which was organized within the projects. It was attended by businesses, farmers, citizens and people, who want to start their own businesses.

Last year, 20 participants of the project from the region received loans for over 300 million soums to finance their projects. They created their own business in various sector of agriculture sector and created new jobs.

This year, the participants of the regional stage of the project will get 430 million soums from commercial banks, which will allow to create 120 new jobs.

At the end of the seminar, the authors of the best projects received certificates from commercial banks to get preferential loans.
