UzLiDeP determines tasks for 2016
At the session, it was noted that share of small businesses in the GDP of Uzbekistan grew by 1.8 times compared to 2000. The sector produces one third of industrial products and 98% of agriculture products, and provides jobs to 77% of employed population.
The session noted that all party structures should actively participate and ensure execution of the priority directions of economic programme for 2016.
The participants noted that parliamentarians should use parliamentary control to ensure execution of existing legislation and protection of rights of businesses.
It was noted it is necessary to further simplify creation and conduction of activities of business entities, adhering to legislation during inspections of small firms and microfirms, etc.
UzLiDeP members underlined that it is necessary to boost internal processing of raw resources and production of products with high added value, demanded both in internal and external markets.
It was underlined that Uzbekistan plans to achieve 7.8% growth of GDP, 8.2% - industrial production, 6.1% - agriculture production, retail trade turnover – 14% and services – 17.4%. Some US$17.3 billion will be directed to economy, which will grow by 9.3% year-on-year. Some US$4 billion of which will be foreign investments in 2016, which will be 20.8% compared to 2015.
According to UzLiDeP, important priority is implementation of investment programme for 2016, which included 164 large investment projects for over US$5 billion. The party called to raise responsibility of officials in purchase and installation of modern equipment at local enterprises.
UzLiDeP said that the party should focus on further reforming and modernizing the country, deepening structural reforms in economy, first of all in agriculture and industry, rapid development of private and small businesses.
The party also considered other organizational issues and adopted the corresponding decisions.
