Noviy Vek newspaper reported that the preliminary feasibility study of the project were developed and the tender for selection of general contractor can be announced in the second half of 2013.
The project envisages production of 900,000 tonnes of ammonia and 1 million tonnes of carbamide. The project will be financed due to foreign loans and own resources.
According to official data, production of carbamide in Uzbekistan grew by 1.7% to 513,500 tonnes in 2012.
