UZEX turnover makes up 4.1 trln. soums in Jan-Sep

Total turnover of exchange and exhibition-fair trades of Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) made up 4.1 trillion soums in January-September 2012, which grew by 10.1% year-on-year. The joint statement of the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan on social-economic development of Uzbekistan in nine months of 2012 said.
UZEX significantly increased the volume of sales of fuel oil, technical sulfur, metallic zinc, nonferrous metal scrap, mineral fertilizers and polyethylene.
From total volume of sold products and raw materials, 86.4% of them were high liquid products of large Uzbek enterprises.
The sum of deals, signed by small businesses at UZEX, grew by 4.1% and made up 53% of total turnover of the exchange.
