UZEX turnover makes up 157.2bn on 13-19 May
Exchange trades
The volume of exchange trades rose by 1.5 times and reached 132.7 billion soums. The growth was achieved due to active participation of producers at trades. Last week, the exchange recorded three times growth of sales of polyethylene and liquefied gas, twice – forage, 62% - construction materials, 48% - food products, 64% - oil products and 39% - chemical products.
Structure of sales did not change significantly. Share of construction materials and food products made up 58% and kept leadership at the exchange. Growth of sales of polyethylene and liquefied gas helped to growth of their share from 8% to 15%.
The export platform of UZEX recorded deals for US$1.5 million on 13-19 May, which doubled compared to the previous week.
Exhibition-fair trades
The volume of exhibition-fair trades rose 2.2 times in the reporting period and reached 16.1 billion soums. Internal market accounted 98.8% of total turnover. Number of signed deals grew almost 50%.
Bukhara branch of the UZEX led on number of signed deals. Namangan and Andijan branches followed the Bukhara branch. Total number of deals at the exchange made up 75% from total number of signed deals.
Significant number of deals with participation of small business was recorded at Tashkent, Andijan, Bukhara and Ferghana branches. Over 75% of products of small businesses were realized through these branches.
Last week, construction materials for 5.4 billion soums were realized at the exhibition-fair trades and machinery products – 5.2 billion soums. Their share in total volume made up 66%.
Four export deals for 191.2 million soums were signed at the exhibition last week.
Public procurement
Public procurement platform of UZEX recoded deals for 8.4 billion soums on 13-19 May against 8.8 billion soums compared to previous week. Number of signed deals fell from 4,275 units to 5,333 units. The deals allowed to save up to 1.7 billion soums of budget resources.
